Where We Started - 2023

I started Afford Aromas when I was 19, selling clearance stock on eBay alongside my retail job. Nothing glamorous — just trying to make a bit of extra money.
Perfume wasn’t even on my radar.
A few months in, a family connection led me to a local fragrance supplier. I didn’t know the industry, didn’t have big expectations, so I tested a small batch to see what would happen.
It outsold everything else I was stocking. Within a month, it wasn’t even close.
By the end of 2023 I’d shipped over 2,000 orders and sold out of every unit — from something I nearly didn’t bother trying.

What I Noticed Along The Way

The more time I spent in the fragrance market, the more one thing stood out: most brands are charging a lot and not really delivering for it. The money goes into the branding. The customer comes second.
I didn’t want to build that kind of brand.

What Afford Aromas Is Actually About

Simple — give customers more than they expect for the price.
That means proper packaging (not the cheap stuff), free UK delivery as standard, and prices that have actually gone down since we started, not up.
There’s no magic formula to it. I just think if you genuinely put the customer first, the rest follows.

Where Things Stand - 2026

We’ve now shipped over 6,000 orders across the UK. It’s still me and my family running this, and that’s something I’m proud of.
We’re growing, but the focus hasn’t changed — make great fragrance affordable for people who don’t want to spend £100 on a single scent.
